Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: September 7, 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to mobile automotive diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services provided by Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic. By requesting, scheduling, authorizing, or receiving mobile automotive service, you agree to the following terms.
1. Mobile Automotive Services
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic provides automotive diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services at customer locations when the requested service, vehicle condition, location, weather, available space, and working conditions are suitable for mobile service.
Not every automotive problem or repair can be safely or reasonably performed at a customer’s location.
We reserve the right to decline, discontinue, or recommend that a vehicle be taken to a properly equipped repair facility when we determine that the work requires equipment, facilities, working conditions, or procedures that are not appropriate for mobile service.
2. Diagnostic Services
Automotive diagnosis is a process of testing and evaluating a vehicle to determine the cause of a symptom, malfunction, warning light, trouble code, or other condition.
A diagnostic service does not guarantee that the problem can be identified immediately or during a single service visit.
Some problems may be intermittent or may require additional testing, disassembly, specialized equipment, additional time, or testing under conditions that cannot reasonably be duplicated during a mobile service visit.
Diagnostic fees compensate for the time, testing, equipment, and knowledge involved in evaluating the vehicle and are separate from service-call fees and the cost of any subsequent repair unless specifically stated otherwise.
3. Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Diagnostic trouble codes are information generated by a vehicle’s computer systems and are used as part of the diagnostic process.
A trouble code does not necessarily identify a defective component and should not automatically be interpreted as an instruction to replace the component referenced by the code.
Additional testing may be necessary to determine the underlying cause of a trouble code or warning light.
4. Customer-Requested Parts Replacement
If a customer requests replacement of a particular component without diagnostic testing, or contrary to a recommendation that diagnosis be performed first, the customer assumes responsibility for that decision.
Replacement of a customer-requested component does not guarantee that the component will correct the vehicle’s symptom or condition.
Additional diagnostic or repair charges may apply if the requested repair does not resolve the problem.
5. Estimates and Authorization
Whenever reasonably possible, the customer will be informed of anticipated charges before additional repair work is performed.
An estimate is based on the information and vehicle condition known at the time it is provided. Additional problems may become apparent after testing, disassembly, or repair work begins.
If additional work, labor, or parts are required, customer authorization may be requested before proceeding.
Authorization may be provided verbally, electronically, by text message, or through another mutually accepted method.
6. Parts and Materials
Parts may vary in price, manufacturer, availability, quality level, and warranty.
When parts are supplied as part of a repair, the price charged may include costs associated with locating, obtaining, transporting, handling, and supplying those parts in addition to the acquisition cost of the part itself.
The availability of a particular brand, manufacturer, or type of replacement part cannot be guaranteed.
7. Customer-Supplied Parts
Installation of customer-supplied parts may be accepted or declined at our discretion.
When customer-supplied parts are installed, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the parts are correct, complete, and suitable for the vehicle.
Additional labor or service charges may apply if a customer-supplied part is incorrect, defective, incomplete, damaged, or does not fit the vehicle.
We are not responsible for the quality, durability, compatibility, performance, or warranty of parts supplied by the customer.
Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic.
8. Access to the Vehicle
The customer is responsible for providing reasonable and lawful access to the vehicle at the scheduled service location.
The vehicle must be located in an area where automotive work can be performed safely and legally.
Adequate working space must be available around the vehicle.
We may decline or discontinue service when a location presents unsafe conditions, inadequate space, traffic hazards, property restrictions, severe weather, unstable ground, insufficient lighting, or other circumstances that make mobile automotive work inappropriate.
9. Vehicle Information
The customer is responsible for providing accurate information about the vehicle whenever requested, including the year, make, model, engine, vehicle identification number, symptoms, prior repairs, modifications, and other information relevant to diagnosis or repair.
Incorrect or incomplete vehicle information may result in delays, incorrect parts being obtained, additional diagnostic time, additional labor, or additional charges.
10. Existing Vehicle Conditions
Vehicles may have pre-existing mechanical, electrical, structural, cosmetic, or other defects unrelated to the service being requested or performed.
Automotive systems are interconnected, and failure of one component may reveal, contribute to, or exist together with problems involving other components.
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic is responsible for the work actually authorized and performed and is not responsible for unrelated or pre-existing vehicle conditions except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.
11. Modified or Previously Repaired Vehicles
Aftermarket modifications, previous repairs, damaged wiring, non-original components, improper installations, corrosion, missing parts, altered components, and prior work can affect diagnosis and repair.
Additional diagnostic time, labor, parts, or charges may be necessary when these conditions complicate the diagnostic or repair process.
We are not responsible for defects, failures, or conditions resulting from previous repairs, modifications, improper installations, or work performed by others.
12. Rusted, Seized, Broken, Damaged, or Deteriorated Components
Automotive components, fasteners, hardware, nuts, bolts, studs, screws, fittings, connectors, hoses, lines, clips, brackets, and other parts may become rusted, seized, corroded, brittle, weakened, deteriorated, or damaged because of age, mileage, environmental exposure, heat, previous repairs, improper installation, normal wear, or other pre-existing conditions.
During normal diagnostic or repair procedures, a deteriorated, damaged, corroded, or seized component may break, strip, crack, crumble, seize, separate, or otherwise become unusable when reasonable efforts are made to loosen, remove, disconnect, access, test, or service it.
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for failure or breakage resulting from a pre-existing condition, corrosion, deterioration, previous damage, prior repair, improper installation, or normal wear, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Additional labor, replacement parts, extraction, drilling, repair procedures, or other work may be necessary when a component or fastener cannot be removed or serviced normally.
When reasonably possible, the customer will be informed before additional work resulting in additional charges is performed.
13. No Guarantee That a Vehicle Can Be Repaired On-Site
Scheduling mobile service does not guarantee that the vehicle can be completely diagnosed or repaired at its current location.
A vehicle may require towing or transportation to a repair facility if further diagnosis or repair requires a lift, alignment equipment, machining, extensive disassembly, specialized equipment, controlled working conditions, or other shop-based resources.
Charges for mobile service already provided remain due even if the vehicle ultimately requires additional diagnosis or repair at another facility, unless expressly waived.
14. Roadside and Parking-Lot Service
Service at roadside locations, parking lots, apartment complexes, businesses, workplaces, or other property is subject to safety considerations and property rules.
We may refuse to perform work in an unsafe roadside location or anywhere automotive repair is prohibited by the property owner, property manager, governmental authority, or applicable rules.
The customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permission to have automotive work performed at the service location.
If a location becomes unsafe or unsuitable after work begins, we may discontinue service until the vehicle can be moved to an appropriate location.
15. Appointments and Arrival Times
Appointment and arrival times may be affected by traffic, weather, the duration of earlier repairs, parts availability, vehicle conditions, emergencies, and other circumstances associated with mobile automotive service.
An estimated arrival time is not a guarantee of arrival at an exact minute unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Customers should provide accurate contact information and be reasonably available at the scheduled service location when necessary to provide access to the vehicle or authorize work.
16. Cancellations and Missed Appointments
Customers should provide reasonable notice when an appointment must be canceled or rescheduled.
A cancellation or missed-appointment charge may apply when a technician has already traveled toward or arrived at the service location, obtained parts for the appointment, or reserved substantial time for the requested service.
Any applicable cancellation or missed-appointment charge will depend on the circumstances of the appointment.
17. Service Call Fee
A service call fee may be charged when Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic travels to a customer’s location in response to a request for mobile automotive service.
The service call fee compensates for travel, scheduling, and costs associated with providing mobile service at the customer’s location. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a service call fee is separate from diagnostic charges, labor, parts, materials, and other repair charges.
The amount of a service call fee may depend on the service location, requested service, travel involved, circumstances of the appointment, or other relevant factors.
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic reserves the right, at its discretion, to reduce or waive a service call fee in whole or in part.
Waiver or reduction of a service call fee on one occasion does not create an obligation or expectation that the fee will be waived or reduced on any future service call.
18. Payment and Accepted Payment Methods
Payment is due upon completion of the authorized diagnostic or repair service unless another payment arrangement has been expressly agreed upon.
The customer is responsible for charges associated with authorized service calls, diagnostic time, labor, parts, materials, and other agreed services.
A diagnostic charge, service-call fee, or other authorized charge remains due even if the customer decides not to proceed with a recommended repair, unless the charge is expressly waived.
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic accepts major credit cards. Acceptance of any particular credit card, card transaction, or other payment method is subject to transaction approval, availability of payment-processing services, and our discretion.
We reserve the right to decline a particular form of payment and require another acceptable payment method when reasonably necessary.
Personal checks and business checks may be accepted at the discretion of Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic. We reserve the right to decline payment by personal or business check and require another acceptable form of payment.
Acceptance of a check, credit card, or other payment method on one occasion does not require us to accept that payment method for a future transaction.
Any alternative payment arrangement must be expressly agreed upon before payment becomes due.
19. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic reserves the right to refuse, decline, cancel, or discontinue service to any customer or vehicle to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Service may be refused or discontinued for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Unsafe or unsuitable working conditions
- Threatening, abusive, harassing, or inappropriate conduct
- Interference with diagnostic or repair work
- Property restrictions
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information
- Unreasonable service demands
- Inability to obtain necessary authorization
- Payment concerns
- Vehicle conditions that make the requested work unsafe or impractical
- Lack of appropriate tools, equipment, parts, information, or working conditions
- A determination that the requested work is not appropriate for mobile automotive service
We may also decline a requested diagnostic procedure, repair, or parts replacement when, in our judgment, the work cannot reasonably or safely be performed as mobile service.
Acceptance of a customer, vehicle, or service request on one occasion does not obligate Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic to accept future service requests from that customer or for that vehicle.
Nothing in this section permits refusal of service for a reason prohibited by applicable law.
20. Test Drives and Vehicle Operation
When reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair, or verification of a repair, authorization to service the vehicle includes permission to start, operate, move, and test-drive the vehicle.
Test driving will only be performed when the vehicle can reasonably and safely be operated.
The customer is responsible for informing us of any known condition that could make operation of the vehicle unsafe.
21. Safety-Related Conditions
If an inspection or diagnosis identifies a condition that may affect the safe operation of the vehicle, the customer may be advised not to drive or operate the vehicle until appropriate repairs are completed.
The decision to continue operating a vehicle after being advised of a potentially unsafe condition is the customer’s responsibility.
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic does not guarantee the safety or roadworthiness of an entire vehicle merely because a particular system or component was inspected, diagnosed, or repaired.
22. Repair Results
Automotive repairs are intended to address the condition diagnosed and covered by the authorized repair.
A repair to one component or system does not guarantee that unrelated components or systems will not subsequently fail.
High-mileage, older, modified, damaged, or poorly maintained vehicles may have multiple conditions that produce similar or overlapping symptoms.
When more than one condition contributes to a symptom, additional diagnosis or repair may be required.
23. Warranty on Repairs
Any warranty applicable to a particular repair, labor service, or replacement part will be determined by the terms communicated for that repair and any applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
Manufacturer warranties on replacement parts are subject to the manufacturer’s terms, conditions, exclusions, and procedures.
Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic.
Unless a specific warranty is expressly provided for a particular service or repair, no additional warranty should be inferred from these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
24. Limitation to Authorized Work
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic is responsible for performing the automotive services specifically authorized by the customer.
An inspection, diagnosis, maintenance service, or repair of one system should not be interpreted as a comprehensive inspection, diagnosis, certification, or approval of the entire vehicle unless a comprehensive inspection was specifically requested and agreed upon.
The fact that a technician observes one condition does not mean that every other existing or developing condition on the vehicle has been identified.
25. Personal Property
Customers should remove valuables and unsecured personal property from the vehicle and surrounding work area before service.
Flagler Beach Mobile Mechanic is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property left inside or around the vehicle unless directly caused by our actions and responsibility cannot otherwise lawfully be limited.
26. Changes to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our mobile automotive services, payment practices, policies, or business operations.
The version in effect when service is requested will govern that service unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The current version will be identified by the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
